The only reason you’re reading this is because I got a second chance in life.

We can give of our talent, our treasure or our time. The following are orgs I support in a variety of ways because of the impact I’ve seen them have in battling mass incarceration.

Restoration Outreach of Dallas is Helping restore incarcerated and formerly incarcerated men back to their families and communities. I see the impact this work is having on a weekly basis.

The Buried Alive Project is helping free people from Life Without Parole sentences that were unjustly handed down in the early 90’s. They successfully freed my friend Chris Young, who is now writing a book and developing an app to help men deal with the isolating effects of trauma.
Girls Embracing Mothers helps to reduce the impact of incarceration on mothers & their daughters.
Both of these orgs are founded by my friend Brittany Barnett, an absolute renaissance woman, who you should know!
